Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in the heart of one of only 4 private game
reserves in Kenya, and offers great views of game across the open
plains, to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.
Built in the 1970's, the camp's main building was originally the
residence of the ranch manager of this private reserve. In fact, the
Sweetwaters Game Reserve was once the private domain of famed
multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. Today the reserve comprises
extensive savannah grasslands and the riverine forests that border the
Ewaso Nyiro River.
You can embark on day and night game drives in 4-wheel drive vehicles,
as well as walking safaris (escorted by a knowledgeable ranger), bird
walks, horse riding and camel safaris. From the camp you can view and
photograph wildlife in their natural habitat while you sip on a few
drinks.
Guest services and amenities offered by Sweetwaters Tented Camp include
transportation to/from the lodge, express check-in and check-out
facilities, laundry and valet services, a gift shop, swimming pool,
secretarial services and internet services.
The camp can be adapted to form an exclusive private conference centre
with full communications and organisational backup, and a wide range of
delegate-tailored events.
Location
Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies on the Laikipia plains, at the centre of
the Ol Pejeta Conservancy's 90, 000 acres, the camp is only 217km from
Nairobi which makes it one of the nearest reserves to the capital.
